What a way to kick off spring for @o.g_carp, banking one of his main target fish 'Thor’ at a new top weight of 39lb 8oz!
On the drive down, Ollie was visualising exactly this moment—so when Thor rolled over the net cord, the buzz was unreal. One of those proper manifested moments, and spring made in an instant.
Across the session, Ollie landed 13 bites, opting to go against the grain with heavy baiting and it paid off. With carp clearly on the feed in the warm spell, the tactic matched the mood perfectly.
Rigs were short 4–5 inch combi setups, ideal for presenting over tight beds of pellet. The Trakker size 4 Wide Gape, Raid braid, and 25lb fluorolink combo proved spot on for keeping everything nailed.
