Shane Griffin recently joined Liam Searle and the crew for their annual trip to Furzebray Carp Lakes, Devon, and what a session it turned out to be! 
Ending up in his third-choice swim tucked away in a quiet corner, Shane kept things simple with small solid bags and a light scattering of free offerings over the top – a tactic that proved spot-on, with the first bite coming just an hour into the trip, resulting in a lovely low-twenty mirror.
After an incredible week’s fishing, Shane ended up with 12 fish on the bank, including seven different thirties, topped by a stunning 37lb 8oz mirror! 
All the bites came to solid bags loaded with Crayfish Mini Mix pellets and wafters, with the occasional switch to a 12mm PB pop-ups to keep the bites coming. 
A session to remember!
