FOX Frontier 2 Bivvy - Worth an upgrade?

Introducing the Fox Frontier II Bivvy: A New Standard in Carp Fishing Shelters?

Fox has long been a trusted name in carp fishing gear, and their latest release—the Fox Frontier II Bivvy— apparently raises the bar even higher. Building upon the success of the original Frontier, the Frontier II introduces a host of enhancements designed to offer anglers unparalleled comfort, convenience, and protection during their sessions. Lets take a quick look at the specs

Key Features & Upgrades

1. Enhanced Easy Tension System (ETS)

The Frontier II features an upgraded ETS BOSS (Easy Tension System) with a geared mechanism that prevents frame collapse during setup, ensuring a smoother and more stable erection process. New sprung-loaded, keyed elbow joints with ergonomic grips facilitate faster setup and breakdown, making assembly a breeze even for solo anglers.

2. Improved Design for Better Access and Visibility

The front door has been widened to provide better visibility and access. Additionally, all models now include mozzy mesh vents on either side of the front door, enhancing airflow while keeping insects at bay. A Zip-in Groundsheet offers easier attachment and direct connection to the optional Inner Mesh Shield (available for X & XL models only), providing complete protection.

3. All-Weather Ventilation

Each model is equipped with four all-weather vents, all accessible from inside and featuring camo mozzy mesh and pegging options to maintain airflow even during rain. This ensures optimal ventilation, reducing condensation and maintaining a comfortable interior climate.

4. Standard Vapour Peak

The Frontier II now comes with a Vapour Peak as standard, eliminating the need for a separate purchase. This feature provides increased protection from wind and rain, reduces condensation around the top of the bivvy, and offers additional shade in hot weather.

5. Additional Storage Solutions

To enhance convenience, the Frontier II includes two extra hanging hooks by the door, complementing the four internal mesh pockets and central hook. These additions provide ample storage for gear such as jackets and headtorches.
