In this session, he returned to his Oxfordshire syndicate with a clear objective in mind—Unity Lake was calling, and so was the challenge of landing one of its elusive big Ghost Carp. Having spent previous trips learning the lake’s moods and movements, he came into this session more focused and determined than ever, setting himself the ambitious goal of targeting some of the venue’s most sought-after residents.
What unfolded would become his most successful trip to date. Not only did he manage to tempt one of Unity Lake’s impressive Ghosties—a fish he had long dreamed of catching—but he also landed one of the lake’s largest mirror carp, a true giant and a milestone in his angling journey. It was a session where everything seemed to align perfectly: the preparation, the timing, and a bit of luck all came together to deliver an unforgettable result.
