Review – OMC Blend Putty

I’ve tried plenty of tungsten putties over the years, and I can honestly say this is some of the best I’ve used. The OMC Blend Putty has just the right consistency — it’s easy to mould into place, stays put on the line, and crucially, it doesn’t go sticky like some other brands, even in hot conditions.

Its density means you don’t need to use much to get the desired effect, and the natural colour tones blend in nicely with most lakebeds. Whether I’m pinning down a section of hooklink or perfectly counterbalancing a pop-up, it does the job every time.

This is one of those bits of tackle that you quickly come to rely on — because when something works this well, you just don’t look elsewhere.
