Steve Dale’s latest visit to the Mesters syndicate turned out to be a session to remember, yielding the queen of the lake, a coveted 37lb common known as Wurzel!
Fishing over a weedbed in the middle of the Lincolnshire venue, Steve deployed a pink Bug Half Tones pop-up on a long multi rig, with a loosefeed mix of 18mm Bug boilies, Bug crumb and Bug pellets, all soaked in BetaStim and Bug Amino Smoke.
Despite a nightmare with birdlife constantly picking up his rigs, patience paid off, and frustration quickly turned to pure elation when Wurzel hit the net! Steve also added a 15lb common to round off a cracking session.
